Last night, we took Kennedy to meet Santa! It was so much fun! For years, I have watched parents line up with their kids, waiting to see Santa. And it was always one of those things (of the million others!) that I couldn't wait to do with our kids. And last night, it was finally MY turn. I watched happily as OUR baby girl was held by Santa. And of course, he and the photographer fell in love with her! But that's no surprise. She has that effect on people. She is simply amazing, and everyone around her just seems to know it, as well. I know it seems silly, but I was such a proud mama last night!
For the last five years, the holiday season has always been so brutal on me. Every little thing set me off. But this year? This year I am finally a mommy. We are finally a family of three. And we have the most beautiful baby girl to share Christmas with this year. It makes my heart swell and causes happy tears to form in my eyes. Nearly 11 weeks old, and I still cannot believe she's ours forever.
